Police ID 20-Year-Old Killed In Early Morning Maryland Crash Into Tree (Developing)

Police have identified the 20-year-old passenger killed in a crash early on Monday morning in Prince George's County.

At around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, officers were called to the 1100 block of Bryans Point Road to investigate a reported crash that led to the death of Capitol Heights resident Cadence Cox.

Police say that the driver - who suffered non-life-threatening injuries - was heading west on Bryans Point Road when they lost control and smashed into a tree.

It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control.

The crash remains under an investigation by the Prince George's County Police Department.
